Poker Size
What size Poker tables do they have at the Casino Windsor? Blind Amounts? Minimum buy in?

I cant find any details on the poker room itself other than it has 10 tables with hold em stud and omaha. Im thinking of going there and i just wanna know about how much im gonna need to play some low stakes no limit or pot-limit poker.

if memory serves me correctly they have $1-2 no limit tables with a $100 buy in.

52 Tips for No-Limit Texas Hold’em Poker

$14.95

52 Tips for No-Limit Texas Hold’em picks up where 52 Tips for Texas Hold’em left off. The first 52 Tips book focuses primarily on looking at your own hand and providing general rules for how to play it at various points in the progression of the hand. It is a wonderful specific beginning primer. This book assumes that you have much of that beginning knowledge, particularly which hands to play in what position, and adapts those strategies to no-limit. The book focuses on your hand and stack size relative to others at the table and shows how to adjust your play to those situations.No-limit hold’em is primarily situational, concerned more about what the other guy has and who he is than about your own hand. Here are 52 tips that will improve your no-limit hold’em game. Enjoy.

 Damned Good

Damned Good

$16.99

Meet the Rookie, a suave, smooth-talking, hard-drinking gambler on a mission to topple the country’s biggest names in poker. From Northbridge to Melbourne, the Rookie experiences the exhilarating highs and catastrophic lows of the underground poker circuit. Beyond material concerns, the Rookie rides on the hard edge of existence in his struggle to defeat Indersmith. Beyond poker, beyond caring, the Rookie exists only for the moment. Damned Good achieves a fusion between technical and literary writing, and will appeal to aficionados of poker and of quality writing alike. “DeCeglie has balls roughly the size of Bukowski’s. Damned Good is goddamned good”Jimmy Jack – Winner AFI Award for Best Screenplay”DeCeglie knows all too well how often men seek meaning in life’s dark corners, then find they’ve cornered themselves. He wields his strong, original voice dexterously through the shadowy corridors of his protagonist’s world, with prose so sharp it often cuts you on the way past. Damned Good is a must-read for poker fans and those who can’t help but flirt with the dark side.”Patrick O’Neil, author of Sideways: Travels with Kafka, Hunter S. and Kerouac”The novella as I love it – Steinbeck, Kafka, Capote, Hemingway, Conrad, Kerouac – is a hard literary act to pull off. “Damned Good” is unapologetic writing reminiscent of the tough son of a bitch poetry of Frederick Seidel. DeCeglie is a man who knows his literary tools and how to use them – just the ones he needs. This is a voice that’s heard clear above the loud-mouthed D-lister literary grant huggers, presenting us with a magnificent concatenation of mens games.” James Phelan, critically acclaimed bestselling novelist.More information, visit http://www.fontainepress.com/damnedgood

Fort Meade and the Black Hills

Fort Meade and the Black Hills

$11

“First class account.”-Idaho Yesterdays. “Especially relevant today because the author, besides giving careful consideration to context and place, explores the problems of racial isolation and integration, and the use of violence as a means of redress.”-Western Historical Quarterly. “An exciting and wide-ranging history”-South Dakota Magazine. Fort Meade was the home of the famous Seventh Cavalry after its ignominious defeat in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Troops from Fort Meade played a pivotal role in the events that led to the tragedy at Wounded Knee in 1890. It was the scene of imprisonment of Ute Indians who made the mistake of interpreting their new citizenship status as freedom from government control. The fort survived the mechanization of the horse cavalry, aided the record-breaking Stratosphere Balloon flight of 1935, and became a training site for the nation’s first airborne troops. Fort Meade existed for sixty-six years, from 1878 to 1944. Robert Lee examines the strategic importance of its location on the northern edge of the Black Hills and the role it played in the settlement of the region, as well as the role played by the citizens of Sturgis in keeping it alive. One of the chief delights of Fort Meade and the Black Hills is a gallery of characters including the unfortunate Major Marcus Reno, the beautiful and fatal Ella Sturgis, and the cigar-smoking Poker Alice Tubbs. They, and events scaled to their larger-than-life size, are part of this long overdue story of Fort Meade. Robert Lee has published several books and many articles on South Dakota’s history. Inducted into the South Dakota Hall of Fame in 1987, he was named its writer of the year in 1992.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! In poker, the strength of a hand (how likely it is to be the best according to the rules of the game being played) is often called its value; however, in the context of poker strategy the term is more often used to describe a betting tactic, a bet for value. This bet (or raise) is intended to increase the size of the pot, by inducing opponents to call. A bet for value is in contrast to a bluff or a protection bet (though some bets may have a combination of these motives).

Excerpt: Video poker is a casino game based on five-card draw poker. It is played on a computerized console similar in size to a slot machine. Video Poker Video poker first became commercially viable when it became economical to combine a television-like monitor with a solid state central processing unit. The earliest models appeared at the same time as the first personal computers were produced, in the mid-1970s, although they were primitive by today’s standards. Video poker became more firmly established when SIRCOMA, which stood for Si Redd’s Coin Machines, and which evolved over time to become International Game Technology, introduced Draw Poker in 1979. Throughout the 1980s, video poker became increasingly popular in casinos, as people found the devices less intimidating than playing table games. Today video poker enjoys a prominent place on the gaming floors of many casinos. The game is especially popular with Las Vegas locals, who tend to patronize locals casinos off the Las Vegas Strip. These local casinos often offer lower denomination machines or better odds, although this was more common in the 1990s as casinos across the country have recently been cutting their paytables and/or only offering 25 cent machines or higher. After inserting money (or a barcoded paper ticket with credit) into the machine, play begins by placing a bet of one or more credits and pressing the “deal” button. The player is then given cards and has the opportunity to discard one or more of them in exchange for new ones drawn from the same virtual deck. After the draw, the machine pays out if the hand or hands played match one of the winning combinations, which are posted in the pay table. Pay tables allocate the payouts for hands and are based on how rare they are, the… More:
